Disability Advisory Committee

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) works in partnership with staff and consumers to ensure that all CAHS facilities, services and programs are accessible to people with disabilities and special needs, including staff, patients, their families, carers and visitors.

The committee aims to ensure that consumers are consulted about, and contribute to:

  • CAHS' policies regarding disability access
    • The CAHS Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP), including:
    • development of strategies to promote and educate internal and external stakeholders on the DAIP
    • internal and external feedback involvement in the planning, management, implementation and evaluation of the DAIP
      • Matters related to disability raised by the DAC or members of other community or consumer groups.
        • Please contact the DAC by email to provide feedback or register your interest in becoming a member.
