Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC) and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS)
Our 7-day team ensures safe delivery of patient care by providing specialist knowledge and skills of advanced neonatal practice.
We lead and promote a multidisciplinary team approach to care while monitoring and developing evidence-based standards of practice and implementing changes to clinical practice.
Positions includes:
- CNC (Medical and surgical neonatal units)

Clinical Nurse Managers (CNM)
The nursing management team leads and manages our large nursing workforce to deliver evidence-based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
We provide human resource management including environmental safety while demonstrating effective leadership and role modelling for nurses. Positions include:

Education team
Our large education team coordinates the development, facilitation, implementation, and evaluation of quality evidence based neonatal education programs from orientation through to postgraduate education.
We promote and embed a culture of learning in neonatal care through simulation, theory and workshop programs, e-learning, and mentorship. Positions include:

Discharge Coordination, Follow-Up Program and Home Visiting Team
This team coordinates and manages the smooth transition to home and provides a comprehensive follow up service for babies who may be vulnerable to developmental challenges after birth.

Lactation Service and PREM Bank
We promote and provide lactation and breast-feeding support to the mothers of babies in the Neonatal unit and follow World Health Organisation principles and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) standards. Positions include:

Retinopathy of Prematurity Screening
Our Retinopathy Of Prematurity (ROP) Program, in conjunction with the Ophthalmologist, coordinates and manages ROP screening. Nurses working in the program receive comprehensive training in using the Retcam technology. Positions includes:
