Safety and quality of care
Providing our patients, clients, families and carers with the highest quality of care is our priority.
Australian hospitals are required to undergo external assessment. The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) regularly assesses the practice, care and service provided by CAHS against a set of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. These standards and assessment ensures that health services are meeting the minimum standards to demonstrate safe and quality care.
We've highlighted some of the data we regularly report on to help illustrate how well we deliver safe and quality care.
What we measure
We measure a range of information about safety and quality across the areas of our health service. The following information is a selection of what might be most relevant to the patients, clients and families who journey through our health service. This includes data from Neonatology, Community Health, Mental Health and Perth Children's Hospital.
