Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
The CAHS Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026-2028 outlines how we will reduce barriers to access and inclusion for people with disability as they engage with CAHS, as staff, volunteers or consumers.
The plan reflects extensive engagement and draws on the insights and experiences of people with disability, CAHS staff, consumers and the wider community.
Outcomes of the Plan
The plan aims to reduce barriers that people with disability face when accessing our services, to strengthen the way we identify and respond to the needs of people with disability, and to create an environment where everyone feels safe and welcomed.
The plan runs over 3 years (2026, 2027 and 2028) and is focused on achievements in the following outcome areas:
Outcome 1
People with disability have the same opportunities as other people to access the services of, and any events organised by, CAHS.

People with disability receive information from CAHS in a format that will enable them to access the information as readily as other people are able to access it.

People with disability receive the same level and quality of service from CAHS staff as other people receive from CAHS staff.
Outcome 5
