Community Health Executive Committee Clinical Governance
Community Health (CH) is made up of Child Health Nursing, School Health Nursing, Child Development Service, Immunisations, Refugee Health and Aboriginal Health services, available at 160 sites across Perth.
The Community Health Executive Committee Clinical Governance is made up of 22 Community Health staff and 2 consumers and is responsible and accountable for ensuring safe, consistent, evidence-based, high-quality health care across CH by overseeing services in relation to:
- meeting the objectives of the CAHS Clinical Governance Framework.
- consumer partnership and participation in planning, implementing and evaluating strategies for improving services.
- clinical performance in relation to clinical standards (guidelines, pathways and protocols), clinical indicators and clinical audits.
- clinical risk minimisation strategies in relation to clinical incident and adverse event monitoring, and risk profile analysis.
- professional competency standards and ongoing professional development, especially in relation to credentialing, scope of practice, registrations and performance.
- the adequacy of clinical governance processes and systems.
- any other matters affecting consumer care or referred to the Committee for advice, including issues related to CACH policies/procedures/guidelines.
