PCH Sepsis Program Consumer Group
We are seeking 10 people to shape the care of children and adolescents recovering from sepsis.
The Sepsis Program will develop an evidence-based care pathway and is funded by Telethon7 and the Child and Adolescent Service (CAHS).
What experience, skills and interests are we looking for?
- We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds who are:
- Parents or carers of child who has experienced sepsis within the last 5 years
- Young people who have personal experience of sepsis as a child or adolescent within the last 10 years
- Willing and able to ask questions and share thoughts and ideas
- Able to provide input into mapping the patient journey
- Able to advise on the best ways to seek input from other parents, carers and young people about their experiences of sepsis
- Linked to wider community groups and able to seek feedback from those networks
What is the time commitment?
The Co-Design Consumer Group will meet up to 8 times in 2024 (in person or via video conferencing).
There will also be meeting pre reading.
There may be requests to provide further advice outside of the meetings. You might be asked undertake training to help develop your understanding of the role and our health service.
How will we support you?
You will be offered $37.50 per hour for your time and to cover out of pocket expenses.
