The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to announce the finalists for the 2026 CAHS Annual Excellence Awards, recognising the outstanding staff, volunteers and teams who provide exceptional care and service to improve the health and wellbeing of children, adolescents and families across Western Australia.

Following the success of the inaugural awards program, this year's awards attracted an impressive 225 nominations, reflecting the commitment to excellence and compassion demonstrated across CAHS every day.

A total of 44 finalists have been selected across 13 award categories, showcasing excellence in clinical care, leadership, research, innovation, teamwork and service delivery.

The CAHS Annual Excellence Awards celebrate individuals, volunteers, and teams who demonstrate a commitment to making a meaningful difference to the lives of children, young people and their families while embodying the organisation's values of compassion, collaboration, equity, respect, excellence and accountability.

New for 2026, the awards include two dedicated clinical care categories – Excellence in Acute Clinical Care and Excellence in Community Clinical Care – recognising the breadth of specialised care provided across hospital, outpatient and community settings.

CAHS Chief Executive Valerie Buić said the quality and number of nominations highlighted the exceptional work being delivered across the organisation.

"The Annual Excellence Awards provide an opportunity to recognise the extraordinary people and teams whose commitment, expertise and compassion help ensure children, young people and families receive the highest standard of care.

"Our finalists represent the very best of CAHS and should be immensely proud of their achievements. Their dedication makes a lasting difference to the health and wellbeing of Western Australian families."

The finalists reflect the diverse range of roles that contribute to the delivery of high-quality paediatric and adolescent healthcare, from frontline clinical services and community-based care to research, support services and volunteer programs.

Award winners will be announced at the CAHS Annual Excellence Awards ceremony on Friday 4 September.

The CAHS Annual Excellence Awards have been proudly supported by Smart, Perth Children's Hospital Foundation, Karrinyup Rotary Club, Hesta and Paywise.

Congratulations to all finalists on this well-deserved recognition. Their commitment to excellence continues to strengthen healthcare outcomes for children and young people across Western Australia.
