Program testimonials

 Edwina, Perioperative Graduate Nurse

The graduate program has given me strong foundation for my future nursing career and my experiences have strengthened my communication skills as well as my ability to advocate for children and their families.

- Edwina, Perioperative Graduate Nurse

Brianna, PCH Graduate Registered Nurse

I chose to commence my nursing career at CAHS due to the unique paediatric experiences it had on offer. I love learning about the speciality, the continuity of care, and have been able to develop very unique skills. The teamwork and standard of care delivered is exceptional.

- Brianna, PCH Graduate Registered Nurse

Jeremy – PCH Graduate Registered Nurse

I’ve always wanted to base my career off working with children and it was only natural to choose CAHS. The most valuable experience I have had has been working alongside all the different teams at PCH. Especially all the support I’ve received from all the nurses and how they interact with patients and parents is really inspiring and can only hope to be able to develop those same skills that I have seen them demonstrate.

- Jeremy, PCH Graduate Registered Nurse

Headshot of Stephanie, Neonatal Graduate Registered Nurse

I chose to apply to CAHS for my graduate program because I have always had a passion for working with children and their families. Two months into my placement in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and I am absolutely loving it. Caring for babies throughout their medical journey and seeing their health improve over a period of time has been very rewarding. The program has definitely given me the support and confidence transitioning from being a nursing student to a qualified registered nurse and colleague.

- Stephanie, Neonatal Graduate Registered Nurse

Headshot of Julia, Graduate Community Nurse

When I was accepted for the Community Health graduate program, I was backed up by an amazing and supportive team of health professionals that ensured I was able to experience the multitude of areas within Community Health. The managers and preceptors are very supportive in my role as a community health nurse, and have provided me with every opportunity to learn. The experiences this program has given me has helped me excel in my career and in confidence.

- Julia, Community Health Graduate Registered Nurse

Headshot of Robyn, Community Health Graduate Registered Nurse

The Community Health graduate program has opened the door to my ideal nursing career focusing on primary health. The postgraduate study component of this program will give me the qualification I need for my dream career as a Child Health Nurse.

- Robyn, Community Health Graduate Registered Nurse

Working with CAMHS as a graduate nurse has not only allowed me to grow in my career but has also allowed me to grow immensely as an individual. The most rewarding part of this graduate program has been witnessing the evolution and growth of the young people I work with and knowing that I was a part of the team that aided in that growth.

This graduate program has given me the confidence to believe in my nursing practice and has also allowed me to be a part of a supportive team and I am excited to continue growing in my profession and impacting the lives of young people.

- Chiratidzo, CAMHS Graduate Registered Nurse
