Perth Children’s Hospital researchers are currently recruiting families for a study into the most common and serious form of inherited high cholesterol called familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).The study screens children aged 1-2 years through a simple heel prick blood test at a routine immunisation appointment. Children who are found to have FH are offered expert counselling and specialist treatment at Perth Children’s Hospital.
