Expressions of interest open for new Midland Health Hub
The Child and Adolescent Health Service has secured funding to build a community hub for children's health in Midland. The community hub will co-locate community health, mental health and other services in a ‘one stop shop’ approach.
The intention for this first hub is in providing a contemporary designed facility that provides integrated and coordinated health services in partnership with key government and non-government collaborative partners.
The hub aims to provide:
- Co-located, integrated and coordinated services that meet consumer needs
- Improved access in an area of community demand and population growth
- Culturally safe, appropriate and welcoming environment for Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) people
- Long-term care for chronic conditions in the community, helping to prevent hospital admissions and manage acute care demands
- Improved coordination of care and clinical outcomes
- Increased consumer satisfaction with the care experience.
Our long-term vision is to establish a network of integrated community health hubs across the Perth metropolitan area to co-locate its community based services in fit-for-purpose facilities that are based on integrated care.
Call for expressions of interest
We are seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from non-government organisations to collaborate with us in the planning, build and/or delivery of the hub in Midland by 2022. The tender for this collaboration has been released the EOI on Tenders WA.
