Meet the voices shaping better care for families: introducing My Why?
16/06/2026
Have you ever wondered who helps make health services better for families in our community?
At the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS), this work is strengthened by our Community Ambassadors - a dedicated group who partner with us by sharing their lived experience, cultural knowledge and insights to help improve care for children, young people and families across our community.
This week we are proud to introduce My Why?, a new storytelling series that shines a spotlight on these incredible contributors.
Through this series, you’ll hear directly from our Community Ambassadors about what inspires them to be involved and why this work matters so much.
Our Community Ambassadors come from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
They support migrant and refugee families, advocate for young people, champion inclusion for people with disability, and represent culturally diverse communities.
Each brings a unique perspective and a shared commitment to making health services more accessible, inclusive and responsive.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing their stories on our social media platforms learning about what motivates them, the challenges they see, and why helping others feel confident navigating health services is so important.
All Community Ambassador profiles are also available to view on our website, making it easy to meet the people behind the voices helping shape a healthier future for WA families and explore their stories in one place.
