Research Education Program

The CAHS Research Education Program, Department of Child Health Research, Child and Adolescent Health Service is an open-access resource that includes the Research Skills Seminar Series and a number of workshops throughout the year to facilitate research projects by busy students, and staff from any clinical background (e.g. medical, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, laboratory etc.) It also provides the Clinical Audit Handbook as a practical resource for those conducting surveys and clinical audits.

The Research Skills Seminar Series offers free seminars on key topics across the whole research process. Comprehensive handouts include additional information and resources, along with other known training opportunities.
Seminars are usually available either face-to-face or online via hosted video-conference sites or via Scopia application, and are hosted by the WA Department of Health.

Workshops include topics such as ethics, governance, data management, REDCap use, and PCH Foundation applications, plus Pitch your Project sessions.
All seminars are recorded and will be made available online under past seminars, or view the seminar schedule for upcoming seminars to attend.
