Multicultural Action Plan

The CAHS Multicultural Action Plan 2022 – 2027 lists the goals and actions our health service will work on to make sure it is welcoming and inclusive for the children, young people and families of WA’s diverse communities.

Over the next five years, we aim to act on making things better for families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Goals of the Plan

Goal 1

Improve our understanding of people from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds

Goal 2

Improve staff understanding of cultural diversity

Goal 3

Stop racism, harassment and discrimination within the health service

Goal 4

Support families to understand their healthcare rights

Goal 5

Make our services feel culturally sensitive, safe and inclusive

Goal 6

Partner with consumers and multicultural organisations

Goal 7

Focus on Equity when writing or reviewing policies
